He was her sister’s fiance’s neighbor. They were both in the wedding. They started dating and have been inseparable ever since… They were together just under two years when he popped the question. Marriage had been the topic of conversation for a few months and she had even picked out the ring. But it was the day before her birthday late last summer, while sitting on the porch, that he decided to get down on one knee and ask. Of course, she said yes. She was too happy to cry, she just couldn’t stop smiling. And so it was March 16, 2013 that they tied the knot at her home church in Sumrall, MS.
They were traditional… No seeing each other before the ceremony, but they did want to pray together… Their dedication to God, church and family is the glue that holds them together and is truly what she loves most about him.
Her colors of green, orange and yellow were inspired by spring and introduced into the reception with fruit and goldfish. That would be REAL goldfish not the crackers. I fell in love with the goldfish centerpieces. That one was a first for me.
What a “Sweet” reception it was! With everything sweet from fruit to fudge, it was a sweet lover’s dream! They even had “Sweet Treats” To Go!
Her Wedding Day, In Her Own Words:
“It was way more relaxed than I expected. My bridesmaids and I were pampered with hair and makeup that morning before we headed to the church. Chris called me panicking a few minutes before it was time for him to be at the church for pics. He was having to turn around and go back home because he had forgot my ring and marriage licenses. I always thought I would be the one who was having to be calmed down. But he made it in time, and everything went perfect. Just the way I always dreamed it would.”
I see a long and beautiful future for this beautiful couple. I look forward to taking pictures of them and their family for many years to come! ~~~ A
